Normally the doctor will give you instructions on when to take a HPT. Try to hold out on when the doctor advised to take a HPT. Wishing you the best.

I would wait. The endometrin definitely can cause pregnancy-like symptoms, and for me it wouldn't be worth the potential for wasting a test and being disappointed from a false negative. If you want to test before the blood test, then I'd wait until 13 or 14dpo.

Also, if you used a trigger shot before the IUI, you could get a false positive if the HCG isn't fully out of your system yet.

I always have the same problem. I’m a pregnancy test addict! But think of it this way: the most common day for the fertilized egg to implant is 9 dpo. It can be anywhere from 6 dpo to 12 dpo. And it takes at least 2 days after implantation for a hpt to detect hcg in your urine. So the earliest I would consider testing would be 12 dpo, with the understanding it may be a false negative. Testing 8 dpo is pointless as it’s highly unlikely you’d ever get a positive that early and, in fact, is entirely possible that your little bean hasn’t even implanted yet!

I am the worst about peeing on a stick! If you do cave and decide to test at home, make sure you research the cut off levels of the test you buy! You want the lowest possible cut of level you can find!!!

I got a false positive last month and I was pretty disappointed! Prayers, hugs, and baby dust to you!!

My beta is next Thursday and I also am dying of curiosity!!! I have promised myself I will wait and not do a HPT until Sunday morning, but now I am trying to talk myself into tomorrow morning! I certainly have plenty of them around the house!!

I never did the home test. I was too chicken, knowing that a negative would devestate me. My dr did a blood test 11 days after the transfer, and I sucked it up and waited (it is hard). The first 2 times were negative, but this time we got a positive! Part of me wants to go out and buy a test just so I can do it, but I know it’s a waste of money since we already know more officially than the home test can tell me. Good luck!

Broke down and took a test this morning.. negative. I’m worried that by 13piui it should be showing up if I was pregnant? Anyway, I’m so silly and should have waited! Blood test on Monday will tell. Hoping for no AF tomorrow! :S

Do any of you iui ivf ladies have any other kids? Trying to decide if it's time for me to go visit my fertility doc again :( I feel like I have PTSD from that place haha
