I think it's totally up to you on the vitamins! I have been taking prenatal vitamins for about a year and just started taking iron, calcium (I am anemic), Omega 3 and Vitamin D but these are all mainly for my health and not for just getting pregnant.
At first I was taking half dose of my prenatal because it was a couple of pills for full dose so I could split it that way. But after a while I decided I wanted to go with something completely non-baby related. So I got a woman's daily vitamin and added extra Folic Acid. You should make sure you are taking that. It is my understanding that it is good to have it in your system prior to conceiving.
Right now we are on an unintended break, but it is a break just the same and I am sure we will be at least until the end of the year. It is very hard at times. Try to do things that you would not be able to do if you were cycling. Do nice things for yourself and DH. Enjoy each other and remember, it is not forever. If it helps to set a "end of break" date. Do what ever you feel most comfortable with. We have taken breaks a few times. Some longer than others. This is by far the longest.
I will be sure to keep you in my prayers and hope that you find peace, comfort and strength.
Is there any specific brand of vitamins that you use? I've been taking target brand prenatal...they all seem the same to me.

I would take your prenatal.. and possibly add B6 and B12 or a complex.. A.. you will sleep better, feel amazing, and I hear they have a great effect on fertility.. if you still want to try.. look into a supplement called fertilaid.. never used it but ppl swear by it!
Not sure if you have any sugar problems.. but chromium piccolinate helps with that.. sure I spelt that wrong.
Wish you the BEST! hope you get a BFP soon by surprise!
