I have only use the Follistim pen for both of my fresh cycles, and I don't mind them at all. The needle is really small and really easy to administer yourself because it's like your pressing an EpiPen. The other two could be the same, but in terms of side effects Follistim really wasn't too bad on me. I knew that my ovaries were getting larger and they were a little sore, but in terms of any other side effects it was pretty minimal.
However I know Follistim is really expensive, so that might be a deterrent as well. Hope I helped

I used Gonal F. It comes in a handy little pen. You have to prime the pen, then dial your dose and you're good to go. There are videos online you can follow along with, it's pretty easy.

Of all the injections I did, this one hurt the least, probably because the needle is so teeny. I remember one day I actually went ahead and stabbed myself before I had dialed the dose, so I had to pull it out, start all over and restab. Didn't bother me in the least...that's how little it hurt!

I used follistim, it was easy, didn't hurt, & no side effects. I had 13 eggs retrieved & I'm almost 8 wks with twins! Good luck!!

I have used all three in both vial and pen forms. You will find there is way less side effects on any of them compared to the oral meds. For me the cost was the deciding factor most of the time. I was on some because they were donated to me and others because they were the cheapest out of pocket. Also I believe folistim and gonal-f are teh same meds, just different manufacturers, so you can use them interchangeably.

Have you used any of them before? I used Follistim on my first retrieval cycle, but it was canceled due to poor ovarian response. My RE switched me to Gonal-F my next cycle, and I produced seven follicles. You might ask your RE what he/she recommends for your particular situation.

I only used Bravelle for my IVF cycles but it work well and I had no side effects.

My DW was on Follistim and Menopur. She had good success with that mixture. Since I was the one doing all the injecting, I would say that the needle for Follistim was the best out of all the injections i've given her.
