Ok so I start Lupron shots September 8th (my DH will be giving them to me). I'm nervous about this alone because he is afraid of needles. I think it'll be fine once we get past the first shot. Tomorrow morning he is taking a "just in case" sample to the RE to be frozen. We have this big fear of the day of the retrieval he is too nervous to perform. And we decided it was better to spend $315 for a frozen back up sample than $4100 to have a testicular biopsy done that morning. (DH heard Testicular Biopsy and about passed out) I will start stims September 22nd. I will be on both Follistim and Repronex. I've been on Follistim before. I'm just nervous about the whole process. The shots, the idea of hyper stimulation (RE will be pushing us to the limit per our request) this is our only shot at IVF, we were lucky enough to get a loan from my grandfather, but after the procedure and meds we have just enough for 1 FET if this doesn't work (which we will hope to use on a surrogate) Anyway our antrial follicle count is 16 on the left 17 on the right. We are also having 4 embies put back which is also scary, but we've prayed about it and we would rather be blessed with too many than too few. The whole thing is just scary and since the shots start in 3 days it is starting to hit me a little. Sorry this was so long just needed to get some stuff out in the air. The one thing keeping me calm right now is knowing that we have one of the best REs in the country. Dr. Silber from the show "Baby Lab" he is amazing. From the moment we met him I felt comfortable. I do have a weight problem, and many people have told me it could be causing my IF. One of the first things he said to me was, losing weight for you will make you healthier, but in no way whatsoever is your weight the cause of your IVF. I love him for that comment.
