Praying for you. Can you call your RE & do the echo early to get answers??

The spotting was brown and did last at all, they told me it was ok, not to panic and wait for my echo next week. It's at week 6 and they don't want to do it faster because the point is to see the heart beat which is apparently to hard before you start you 6th week.
The worst is all this stress and the heath gave me an ashma attack. At least now i'm home resting.

Prayers being sent your way. I was told that brown spotting is normal, but if you have bright pink/red with cramping then there might be a concern with that. Hang in there, and I hope baby is growing healthy and strong. :-)

Praying for you too. I also had light brown spotting from time to time with this pregnancy and the last one. I know it's really scary, but can be very normal. Hang in there, and as singsweet has already said, bad cramps and or bright red blood would be a cause for concern. Wishing you good news for your first scan.

Sorry about the spotting, i know how scary this can be! The good news is that Spotting is shockingly normal, it's the secret no one warns women about. Most women I know who have been preggo have spotted at some point and have syccessful pregnancies. And that it's brown blood, which is old blood, is a good sign. Definitely keep your OB informed, but unless you have cramping too, you should be okay. Hugs!

I had spotting- brown, pink, red...you name it for the first several weeks of my pregnancy and everything turned out fine. I know it is terrifying to see blood (I think I checked every time I went to the bathroom the entire pregnancy) , but it is very, very common and unless accompanied by pain, usually not a sign of anything serious.
Are you on progesterone? One of the side effects can be spotting (as it was for me). Also, some of my spotting was caused by a collection/pocket of blood in the uterus (not attached to the fetus- forget what this is called) which is annoying, but completely harmless to the baby and eventually resolves itself.
Whatever the situation may be with you, try to relax and chances are, it's nothing serious. Hang in there!!!!

Thanks guys, I feel much better after all your comments, plus no spotting today. Only 7 more days to my echo. I feel so lucky to have gotten this far.
