Went to a little get-together this evening with my SIL (this was a friend of hers, but I was invited because the hostess was an acquaintance. Whatever. Got out of the house a bit, ya know?) My SIL brought her 5 month old along. The hostess has a 9 month old little girl.

So, we get there, and of course, talk centers around babies (what else?) which means I sort of just sit there on the couch, sometimes playing on my phone. At some point, the hostess asks the invevitable "So, do you have any little ones?" "Um...no." "Oh, seriously, you are so lucky! etc etc." To which I reply simply "No." She goes on about how she HATED being pregnant, it's a totally "Not beautiful" situation and it sucks and having kids sucks, etc. From a woman who got AI-ed and is single. She CHOSE this. I'm not sure what expression I had on my face, but whatever it was must have been priceless, because my SIL very quickly asked the hostess about something which required both of them going into another room. We left after an hour and a half.

This is a big reason why I rarely leave my house anymore. Everywhere I go...idiots.
