Hello all,
I'm 37 with PCOS and have been trying to conceive for over 2 years with not luck. Have just finished my second round of injectibles with TI. AF arrived this morning! Perfect way to end the week.
The other week highlights were - on Tuesday a male co-worker of mine spent an extensive period of time explaining how is daughter and daughter in law are both pregnant. And the daugher is 6 weeks 3 days, she has afternoon sickness, how the fetus is the size of a thumb and that she's been emailing the sonagram picture to the entire family. Seriously???
Friday, take the day off of work with hubby, we go to Olive Garden for lunch to only see 5 pregnant women.
Did a bit of shopping afterwards and (thankfully I wasn't with him) my husband runs into a friend of his (and her mother who is the best friend of my mother in law) who is literally about to pop in couple days wtih her second daughter. Thankfully I did not have to encounter them (not their fault their fertile but still don't need it in my face.) My mother in law is dying for a grandchild, and while she has stopped sending me pictures of the new minister who would be look good in baptism pictures knowing that extra pressure doesn't help. Feel like a failure to my husband and his family. Its so hard to tell him when AF arrives, just makes me cry. He is always supportive and optimistic but doesn't help me with my sense of failure.
So the arrival of AF this morning just sealed my sucky week. Now I get to look forward to more ultrasounds, bloodwork and injectioning myself for the next 2 weeks.

And, I know it's easier said than done, but you cannot blame yourself for this! You didn't ask for PCOS and you did nothing to bring on this problem. I know you feel defeated every time AF comes, but try not to be angry at yourself. I always told DH (who has the fertility issue on our end) I wasn't angry at myself or him, I was angry at whoever dealt the cards in life, cause man, did we get a crappy hand!
