robitussin is used for cervial mucous. if you have PCOS you have problems with your ovaries/hormones. some women use Robitussin if they have cervical mucous issues (for example if Clomid adversely affects it).

you should ONLY use this method under instruction of your doctor, as this medicine has more in it than just the ingredient that makes your mucous more prevalent.

and as for your friend that says Robitussin is what got her pregnant, she is more than likely mistaken. "normal" women take up to a year to conceive naturally, and she likely would have conceived regardless of whether she used this *home remedy* or not.

With PCOS you have trouble ovulating so idont think it would help. You should talk to your doctor about it though . Hey im always up to try anything .

It's the guaifenisen in the robitussin that thins secretions (nasal, vaginal, or otherwise...)
The rest of the ingredients in different robitussins "DM" or "PE" can actually cause rapid heart rate, agitation, and overstimulation of your senses in general.
This is usually one of those things that people use more as a mental crutch than a physical benefit. It's a little bit "The Secret" method. People think "oh, my doctor told me to take this and I'll get pregnant" so they take it, and think happy pregnant thoughts, and 6 months later... pregnant! For that time, they focus on something other than every twinge and test and peak and sore boob.... and nature takes it course for the ones who have it "easy" in our eyes...

only buy the robotussin with the guaifenesin in it. it will say on the front label only for loosening chest congestion. you don't need the other ingredients. i helped me when i took clomid to thin out the CM.
