Hi, I know I should have quit smoking a long time ago when I was starting to try to conceive but didn't. 5 years later, still not pregnant and I just bought an e-cig vapor kit. I haven't started yet. I know quitting smoking can improve chances of conceiving. Can quitting with a vapor cig still improve my chances??? (there is still nicotine in the vapor cig.. just no smoke) Anyway, Im just hoping while I am trying to quit with the vapor cig that I am still improving my chances of conceiving and it isnt just a moot point because of the nicotine. If you know any info regarding this, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I don't know much about this, but have 2 friends that used this as a stepping stone to quitting. Good for you for making the commitment!

I smoked a pack a day for about 11 years and quit two years ago on January 14th. Do NOT replace nicotine with nicotine. I tried that many times and it didn't work. The ONLY way to do it is cold turkey. You just need to remind yourself when you think you "need" a cigarette you actually just WANT one. Mind over matter. The first three months suck, but you'll get through it.

Quitting or reducing smoking for any reason is cause to celebrate! Good for you! The vapor cig has a much smaller amount of nicotine im and is absent of the cyanides etc in an actual cigarette. People use many ways to quit and there is no one way that is sure fire. I've known some who quit cold turkey, some who reduce and stop, some who use quit smoking aids and 12 step principles, some taking a low dose antidepressant also proven to help people quit. Anything of this caliber seems order able to putting a stick of poison in your mouth. Good luck!

Congrats on deciding to quit. I quit 4years ago. I found the free ebook "the easy way to quit smoking" by Alan Carr really helpful. Google it. You can do this :)

Awesome you Kel!

My advice is to never quit quitting. I tried the patch (when it was prescription only and in stores) Wellbutrin, Prayer, Chantrix and lozenges. It took 10 years to get past 6 months. I'll have 4 years this September (YAY me). I also requested a quit pack of info sent to me from the American Lung Association - WOW ! Did you know that there are OVER 4,000 different chemicals in cigs? I didn't.

Anyway, whatever works for you ... DO THAT !
