OK had my trigger shot on Wed. like at noon! And of course it's sore (no biggie) - but for the last day or so, it's been red and swollen (not bruised color) but red! No rash, just inflamation like the size of a large orange or something. It's so odd...I've had shots before (never a trigger) and have never been swollen and red like this!

Is that bad? It still is sore (but not as bad as it was yesterday) Does that mean the shot didn't go in all the way or that the medicine doesn't work?

Anyone else experience this?

SHOOT...i don't know why I'm so concerned, I'm gong to be PG soon! (ha ha ha...I'm thinking positive can you tell!)

Sometimes you can have a localised reaction to the medication - I would say that this would be all it would be. If it continues to get bigger then I would see your dr.

I get them from Repronex. I think if you let it sit for about 20 minutes it can help stop a reaction, or make it less. You may want to let your doctor know though, should you need to do one again (I am hoping you don't). But, if you do they may be able to give you a different brand. They switched me to Menopur from the Repronex and I didn't get them any more. I can't remember if I got it from trigger though.

Thanks girls...but do you think I have anything to worry about with the shot not working because of the reaction? It's weird it has no rash or feeling like a bad reaction, it's just sore like it would be if you got a shot of medicine.

I'm more concerned about if the shot will sill make me ovulate because of the reaction...what are your thoughts?

no i think it worked even if this happened. you were already ovulating, this just gives it a real final push and i never hear of it not working, dont worry.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I am sure all the meds got in and you will ovulate.
