My DH wanted to me ask if any of you know anything about the adoption process. I live in a small city and there is only one adoption agency here. I called once before and the lady told me they were a Chrisitian agency and that one of the requirements is that you have to be a Christian and attend church regularly and have a letter from your pastor stating that you attend church on a regular basis. I am a Christian, but I can't believe that they would deny a baby a loving home based on the adoptive parents faith. Do any of you have any information on the adoption process?

Do you want to do local adoption, in the US or do you want to do international adoption? I think that should be your starting point. I have a friend who went through DHS to adopt. They didn't foster, they straight out adopted. There are several international companies.. I'm sure lots more than I know of. One I know is America World Adoption. I think you can type it in and look it up on the internet. We actually went to a seminar they had here in our area. They were so great! Anyway. I'm not sure about local. We are going to check into that. I bet if you look it up online you can learn lots. That's what we plan on doing. We have decided that even if we have one of our own we would like to try and adopt. If it's God's will, we want to do it! I hope I've helped you a little. Good luck to you!!!!

check with your local social services office and they should be able to point you in the right direction. be prepared to do a ton of paperwork and backround checks. you will also need to get a home study done. this can also be very costly unless you are open to adopting a foster child in which case the state would cover a majority of the cost.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
