My OB put me on Provera for 14 days last month. I became super emotional and was on a constant mood swing. AF showed up three days late- and last only for three days. The reason I was put on the Provera was because although I have been regular for the most part 27-29 day cycles- I have experienced spotting for several days prior to AF coming, and have had lots of clotting. They did an ultrasound two months ago and my lining was "beautiful" I was told- so that meant no physical reason for the clotting and spotting- must be hormonal he said. So anyways..... AF showed up late this past month like I said, and lasted for only three days- two days of medium bleeding and last day very light- which is unusual for me as well. I was experiencing a lot of nauseousness after AF arrived and pretty extreme breast tenderness- both still continue. I emailed my Dr. about the symptoms and was told they are both side effects of the provera- and he asked if I would prefer to switch to a different kind of progesterone. My question is, however, should the provera be out of my system by now, as I am supposed to be starting my next round this evening- meaning- shouldn't my breasts not be killing me anymore? Not only do they hurt, but they feel huge right now. Dr. didn't say take a PG test, so I haven't, because I honestly don't have the heart to do so- but I am not sure if all the side effects should still be there as it has been over two weeks since I stopped the pills. If by chance I would be PG now and don't know it- with starting the Provera tonight hurt? Anyone with experience/knowledge??

The Provera makes you have a period so if you were pregnant then it could cause you to loose the pregnancy! I would take a pregnancy test before you start it!

If you are PG taking provera will not hurt. Progesterone is produced by the body during each cycle. When a woman gets PG, her levels stay high, which keeps her from having a period. However, when not pregnant, the levels drop which causes a period. I just researched this last week as I typically get AF within 2 days of finishing my provera, but this cycle took 6 days. So, if you are pregnant, taking the pills will not harm your baby. This cycle really threw me off b/c my breasts were abnormally tender, I had some twinges, and was so tired. I was not bloated like I typically get before AF shows. Hope this helps!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
