Ok so my husband and I were watch tv a couple days ago when all of a sudden I had the WORST stomach cramp ever. So I tried to sleep it off but fail. So the next day we went to the ER. Now you know how they ask those routine questions the nurse asked my last menstrual period, my hubby an I both look at each other because neither of us knew. But I guess my chart showed that i had a salphinectomy(fallopian tubes removed) so the nurse didn't consider pregnancy. Well when my blood work came back I had elevated HSG hormones(meaning pregnancy). So they give me an ultrasound and turns out that I was pregnant on the outside of my uterus for about 6 weeks. Please excuse my language for what i'm about to say but i was mad as SHIT devastated beyond measure. My REI doctor had told us the only way we could conceive was thru ivf as hard as that was we dealt with it but here i am 5 months after having both my tubes removed going through a miscarriage. Now i cant help but to think the miscarriage is my fault cause the night the cramping started i was drinking wine and didn't go to the doctor til the next day. Over all my frustration is because i dont understand how this happened. I planned to do my ivf at the beginning of 2013 but not i have to do more test to make sure my other reproductive organs are in tact from this miscarriage. I'm hurt beyond measure guys please help me.

Ok, first things first. I'm so so sorry that you're dealing with this terrible situation. I can't even imagine what you're going through. Secondly, what's happening with you is an ectopic pregnancy, which means the embryo is anywhere except the uterus. That has nothing to do with drinking wine, so please don't torture yourself with guilt. I hope this goes by quickly and I will keep you in my prayers ((hug))

This is so rare without any tubes!!! But strange things happen sometimes with the body. Please know that nothing you have done could have changed the outcome of this! There is no way for an embryo to grow successfully unless it is in the uterus. And without tubes, IVF is the only way to get an embryo in the uterus. I know because do not havd functioning tubes and I an pregnant from my first IVF. Please heal and don't blame yourself.

I am SO sorry you are going through this!! The miscarriage is definitely not your fault - the ectopic pregnancy wouldn't have survived regardless of anything you did. What I can't believe is that your doctor didn't tell you you had to be cautious about this when you had your tubes removed. My mom lost one tube and they warned her that it was possible for something like that to happen if she ovulated from the ovary on that side. That is horrible. They definitely should have informed you of that risk!

This is definately not your fault at all. Please do not think that. I am so sorry for what you are going through but do not blame yourself or the glass of wine. Get some rest and relax (as much as possible).

My heart really goes out to you!
I'm very sorry for what you're going through.

This is an eptopic pregnancy (when the embryo attatches itself anywhere outside the specific area of the uterus where it needs to be to become a healthy pregnancy).
I would guess (educated guess) that at 6weeks of gestation (4weeks since conception?) that the emrbyo or "tissue"as the medical lot so love to call it will not cause damage to your organs.

I'm very sorry no one told you this can happen!

YOU DID NOT CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN!!!
Nothing you did, could have done or didn't do would have changed the outcome of this pregnancy.

Now that you know what can happen you can make more informed and better decisions in the future.

I understand how hurt you might be feeling too.

I have a condition that makes me miscarry about 97% of the time. Because of that I had both my tubes tied, corterized and yet at the age of 30 the Drs had to tell me that the tubalectomy isn't 100% and there is infact a chance that the ends can grow back together, or that eptopic pregnancy can occur.

IVF is my only option anyway, so having tubes made no sense to us.

The hardest part for me was having to use condoms to make sure I didn't get pregnant while I was trying to get pregnant.

OMG I can only imagine what you are going through. I too have had 1 tube removed and the other is 100% blocked, just had my 3rd surgery yesterday. Dont blame yourself, there is no way you could have known. Even if you had figured it out before this, the embryo would not have made it. Keep positive and we will all get what we are destin to get. ((HUGS))
