I found out yesterday that the "Today" show is doing a 3 part series on IF this week. It started Tuesday so I missed the first one but I DVR'd today's and of course it made me cry. It focused on male factor and told 2 really positive stories. With the first couple the DH was told he had no sperm at all. But they interviewed a doctor that said even though there is no sperm in the ejaculate there could be some sperm in his body but it just dies on the way out. So they were able to get 200 sperm from him using some precedure and through IVF they now have a little boy. Then the second couple the DH had cancer in 1986 and before he had chemo he froze his sperm. Then 21 years later he and his wife did IVF with ICSI. They had to do it 4 times but finally got pg and now have a baby girl. They said this is the only case of sperm over 20 years old that was used to conceive a child.

one woman did 5 IUI's and 4 IVF's (or 2) and decided to do eastern medicine (qi gong, accupuncture, meditation), ate whole foods only..and got PG on her own!
They are also doing another segment today. It isn't on yet but in the little preview they do, it looks like they are looking at diseases in children that can lead to infertility.
