With our 1st round of IVF we didn't do PGD because we didn't have enough embryos. Put in 2 embryos and neither of them implanted. At the time my DH asked our RE why some embryos implant and why some don't. He basically told us they don't really know.
With our 2nd round of IVF we did PGS (I believe it is the same as PGD) because we had 4 5 day blasts. Only one was normal so we implanted that one and got our first BFP. My RE believes PGS helps with implantation because you know the embryo is genetically sound. I wish you the best of luck with round 2.

I was afraid that the biopsy of the embryo might damage it enough to make implantation harder. It relieves me that it worked for you!
Just curious, after ET I expected to be asked to lay on the table for a while but they came in after 10 minutes and said I was all done and ready to go but to take it easy for a few days. Did they have you lay down for a while before leaving? I just want to do anything that may increase my chances next time.
I believed I only laid still after transfer for abut 10 mins. but I did pretty much bedrest for 48 hours after my transfer even though my nurse said it was not necessary. who knows if it made a difference. Good luck
Wishing you the best of luck!
Jennifer
By the way, I laid on the table with my hips/legs raised for an hour after my transfer and was on bed rest for the remainder of the day and the following day as well.
My best to you with your next round!

My RE is very old school. With both of my transfers he made me stay there for approx 30 minutes. With the 2nd one I used an acupuncturist who works in his office, so she came in and gave me acupuncture right after the transfer. Please he recommends 3 days of bed rest after the transfer. Not sure if it helps, but I was willing to do whatever he said. :)
Hoping round 2 is the one for you too!!
Today is my first day off the BCP. I hope AF makes a quick appearance so I can start stims ASAP. Praying that this is the last round.
