i know exactly what you mean. i've been ttc for a year now without fertility drugs or iui/ivf and i am so scared that a "natural" pregnancy just isn't going to happen.

however, a lot of the women on here have had success with just fertility meds. it all depends on how your body responds to them. there is also iui which is a step before ivf and is typically less expensive.

There are many different IF drugs. Most people start with Clomid. With PCOS, using Metformin and CLomid together can produce successful results. You can also try Femera. Then you move into more high tech methods. You can do Clomid with an IUI or move to IUI with Injectibles. Then of course comes IVF. I tried Met and Clomid. It did not work for me but I later found that I had no fallopian tubes so it was not because of my PCOS that it did not work. It is a lot to take in. GL!!

I know you want to give up please don't,It is possible to get pregnant.I have PCOS and got pregnant,what I did was saw fertilty doctor and he gave me something to bring on my period then he gave me fertility med called clomid,did not work first time was dispointed went home in tears then the next month he did same thing but gave me higher dose of clomid.I bought an ovulation kit it showed i was ovulating called my doctor he told me to come in and he did iui and a week later found out I was pregnant.now I have 3 year old toddler.If you need more info please feel free to write to me.

I know exactly how you are feeling me and my husband have been trying for 3 years I also have POCS since I was 14 which for the last 2 years started interferring with my menstral cycle which means no ovulation and no babies =(( I was lucky to get one every 3 months . So in June I started my first cycle of Clomid I first took Progesteron to start my cycle and took Clomid 100 mg on days 5-9 also using a basil thermometer and well the begining of July I found out I was pregnant ...... I am now 4 months pregnant and I was also scared like you but believe it can happen I put it in my mind that It WAS going to work and the first month it did after 3 almost 4 years of trying naturally.... I wish you the best of luck and lots of baby dust =)) Also Clmoid has up top a 70% chance of success in 6 months as long as it makes you ovulate which it is intended for.

I understand why you feel the way you feel but I concieved after 3 months of Clomid 50mg and now have a healthy 2 1/2 month old baby boy I( do have a little girl that I concieved naturally after weight lose but it is very possible to concieve with just fertility drugs but there are so many but my OB told me that Clomid does work well for woman with PCOS but of course not everyone but good luck and God~Bless!
