After 9 IUIs we are moving to IVF. Our consultation appointment is January 7th. We got our information packet and forms to fill out in the mail today. I am really feeling incredibly overwhelmed right now. I didn't realize that not only do we have to have the consultation we also have to go to a class. I guess I felt like since we've been seeing this doctor for 2 years that the process would be a little quicker. It's not like we're completely new to IF, I feel like I know so much from all the research I have done and everything we've been through so far. Now that we've made the decision to finally move to IVF I'm just anxious to get started.
I'm also so scared about the financial aspects of this. Money is the reason we did not decide to do this a long time ago. It's so scary to spend all of our savings on something that might not even work. We won't have any type of nest egg to fall back on should we need it. We both drive really old cars, have drafty windows omg, the list goes on and on but we're putting everything we have into ivf...uggg...I'm feeling so stressed!

The forms were a pain (I especially did not like choosing what happened to our embryos in the event of divorce, death, etc), but from a legal standpoint, I understand why they are necessary.
I know my clinic made me do a lot of lab tests before IVF that I didn't have to do with my IUIs (HIV, Hepatitis, basically all STDs).
I know it is hard to spend all your savings and times on this process, but know one thing, your doctor's want this to work. They will do whatever they can to make sure it does.
