Options for Male Infertility

Anyone have success with Fertilaid or other herbs/supplements for male infertility? The infertility specialist we're seeing has prescribed Clomid for my husband. Apparently it triggers the pituitary gland to activate your fun junk to make more eggs/sperm. So although I thought Clomid was only for girls, apparently there's marginal improvement for men as well. Other than that I know of NOTHING on the medical end to help men with sperm counts. Although we've tried several natural remedies, we haven't got pregnant yet, and didn't see much of a count difference either.

Our male fertility specialist has my husband taking Folic Acid, L-Carnitine, & an antioxidant formula (all can be found at Walmart). I think there is one other, but I can't remember what it is. I will check when I get home and respond! Best of luck to you both! (we are going through the same thing!)

The other supplement I couldn't remember is CoQ10! :)

Hi there, my husband was on clomid 25mg every other day for three months and his counts are 100% normal now! They were mild at first, but when we did our first IUI he only had 200,000 actually swimming. His last SA showed 56 million/ml which is amazing compared to where he was. Good luck!

Turns out it works! There's definitely not enough information out there about this! It really does help improve sperm counts. We got pregnant VERY shortly after my husband started taking it. It happened so quickly, in fact, I wonder if it just wasn't a plain old miracle and nothing to do with the pills.... but the timing does seem a little too coincidental. We seen 2-3 different doctors over the course of 6 years of infertility about this and every one said the same thing - "There's nothing you can do for male-sided infertility." Bologna.... try Clomid guys... it's cheap and there are clinical studies that prove it helps improve male fertility. And yes, those supplements you listed LLP are in Fertilaid and required by the body to produce sperm so they are definitely a good idea to take! ;)

CoQ10, Fish Oil, and Conception XR they all helped my husband and it increased his count and mobility!

Hey! I am new to this group. My husband doesn't have low sperm count, it is actually normal, but has low sperm motility so those little suckers just aren't swimming very fast. We go back for another SA to see if any improvements since he has made a few lifestyle changes (quit smoking, drinking, going to the gym, veggies, etc.) But I wonder if there are other options that may help boost his motility. Does anyone have any suggestions? Would love some feedback.
Also,
his testosterone is a little low when he had his physical but our MD didn't prescribed anything to improve it since we are TTC. Anything to help in this area as well without reducing his sperm?

You're lucky, clomid messed with my husbands hormones and he basically went crazy. He couldn't take it any more and it lowered his sperm count. We had a horrible experience on it, but I'm happy it worked for you.
