I have always used the digital ones!! They are little more expenses but so worth it because it is either a circle or a smiley face!!

yes, they're very confusing alright. Ones I've used say that need to be the same color or darker as well. At times when I've tested it was hard to discern, but I kept testing and eventually the line did become darker so I know the previous test I was not surging.

I wish I could help but all I've ever gotten is the hint of a second line and I knew that was a negative... sorry hun! Good luck! :)

I haven't used an OPK in quite a long time but I do remember them being hard to read. I would probably try the digital ones. I used a fertility monitor instead just because it gave a pretty clear answer. As of right now, I am only using BBT and it seems to work better than anything else.

I agree 100%, they can be extremely confusing. Was this just today? I would say to do another one later on or tomorrow to be sure. I don't think the width of the line mean anything.

I would say this is indicating a surge, but I would test again tomorrow to see what it looks like. It took me a couple months to really understand the results and know when I had a surge. Good luck... I wish it would just say "make a baby today"!!!!!!!

I have a picture of a positive OPK on my profile I wasnt sure eighter and I asked but sure enough it was positive and I have a almost 2 month old baby boy and mine looks alot like yours sounds so you can always look at it.

My Urologist always said, just get it close and that's good enough - but my RE's office was adamant. That test line must be AS DARK OR DARKER and AS THICK OR THICKER than the control line. Otherwise, it's a no go. I would make life easier and use the digital cause then's it's black and white.

Also - the test alway says to test around noonish, but my RE said to do early mornings (first thing). Turns out, my surge happens in the EVENINGS so start out testing twice a day at first, and then around CD12 oe 13 I start testing 3 times a day. Lucky I have cause my last 3 months the surge has been in the late afternoon/evenings and had I followed the box rules, I would have missed it.

They are super hard to read!! I was SO confused when I was using them. I just went to digital - the happy face makes WAY more sense! :o)

I just posted on this yesterday. UGHHHHH, I don't like them. If the line is as dark or darker I'm pretty sure that means yea..you are ovulating! HAng in there! HUGS!!

They're too frustrating for me. I use the CB digital one that shows a cute little egg when you're about to ovulate :-) Good luck!

I can't stand OPK's. They drove me crazy when I tried to use them! I never tried the digital ones,but probably would've if we hadn't found out that there was no way we could get preggo on our own. Maybe try those?

I bought 2 OPKs and never saw a dark line because my cycles are irregular and I always ran out of sticks! So, I bought the Clear Blue Easy fertility monitor. It is expensive but there is no question about the result. It tells you your high fertile days plus your peak fertile days and no guessing about the color of any lines...all digital.

It sounds very close so BD just in case. I personally recommend the Smiley digitals! Enjoy!

I always found those so hard to read. I guess unless both lines are exactly the same, then its a negative. I agree with some of the other ladies that it may be worth your sanity to invest in one of the digital ones. I know they are a little pricier, but they are much easier to read. Good luck sweetie! :)
