That is exactly what I went through and is my infertility problem - I don't ovulate and my follicles had to get all kinds of help getting stimulated before they would make an egg. I started with clomid and went through several more cocktails (can't remember the different medications) before finally injectibles which is what got me to ovulate. One thing my doctors always told me, because I had this problem, is to avoid any anti-inflammatory. They always said that the body considers ovulation to be inflammation so I had to avoid anti-inflammatories like the plague otherwise the follicles simply wouldn't grow no matter what we pumped into them.

You could ask about letrozole. It's newer, less side effects, and more effective. If that doesn't work, you can look into injectibles, but those get super pricey. But us women tend to find ways to work out what we need to do to get what we want :-) Good luck!!

skip the double dose of clomid! Ask for a double dose of fermara.
They took me from a single dose of clomid to a double with 0 results. Then I went straight to a double dose of fermara. That helped me grow 1 mature follicle. Finally ended up doing fermara + injectables.

If you feel like your current combo of meds isn't working, I would ask the RE about changing to something else. I started out on Femara which didn't work for me. Double Clomid + injections is what worked for me. I made 3 big follies & 1 medium, and I got pregnant on this cycle with IUI. No one is the same though, so that's why I say ask your RE about a new med combo that could be more effective for you. Good luck to you! I know how hard it is to go through this process, but it will be worth it when we all have our sweet babies. I will be praying.

From what I've heard, Clomid only works on about 20% of ppl, but they start with it, because it's easy. Plus not every woman will respond to the same thing, in the same way, every month. Don't get stressed yet, but yes maybe ask for something else to try.

Once you figure out what works to stim your ovaries, there is also meds like ovidrel that can actually make you ovulate. My RE uses that in conjunction with clomid/fermara

I always did a combination of Clomid + injectibles- we've done Follistim and Bravelle and also did a trigger shot- Novarel to force my body to ovulate once follies were big enough. Just Clomid never worked for me! Good Luck!
