You can not get pregnant with out having a period because you are not ovulating. Or there are some women who have a period and do not ovulate.. You have to be ovulating to become pregnant.
I would recommend you discussing this with your GYN. Their are medication that can restart your cycles..
Hope this help and again good luck to you!
When I stopped dancing, and my body wasn't taxed and my BMI returned to normal range, I resumed my periods.
Hon, you can't menstrate and ovulate without enough natural healthy weight on you- and even if you could (which you cannot) you couldn't maintain a pregnancy under those conditions.
When you get to the place in your recovery where you are at a good healthy weight, most likely your body will respond in kind.
Talk to your Gyn about it Honestly. 6 mo into recovery for Anorexia is still early & a fragile time. You need to be solid & good with maintaining your own weight & nutrition, before you TTC, not just when your cycles start up. Seeing yourself expand from a pregnancy can be a trigger for relapse. Many friends who were unhealthily maintaining a very low weight really found it traumatic when they did get pregnant, and not all were well enough emotionally to cope, ultimately not having positive healthy outcomes to their pregnancies.
Talk to your Drs- the whole team plus your Gyn. They can work out a plan that addresses all your needs- not just the physical one of ovulating. Very Best Wishes Doll- and big hugs.
You can do it! But it will take time & dedication to get there safely with both an Emotionally & Physically healthy outcome.
