You need to make an appointment with your doctor (really their nurse) and have them teach you. Also, I don't know if you go to church... but if so maybe their is a member who is nurse that would be willing to help out. But either way... you need to go in for an appointment and have them teach you one on one... make sure that you have a container to put your shots in after you get them. If your doctor's office doesn't have something to give you check with your pharmacy. I know that they sell little sharps containers. A hard detergent bottle will work... but you need to find out who will dispose of the shots when your all done. Again check with your MD or pharmacy. I hope this helps!

I agree with seeing your doctor about learning. Sometimes hospitals have outpatient centers for people in your situation. Ask your doc about that too. Maybe he could have one of those nurses give your shots. I know we have even had people come to the ER to get shots (I bet that is expensive though). If you have not already, ask your doctor about some of your options.
As for disposal, brentanddyana had some great suggestions, I have also had people drop them off at the ER for disposal. Good luck to you!

I gave myself HCG and progesterone shots in the butt through an IUI and IVF cycle. Once I got past the first time (yes I was a little sqeamish)it really wasn't so bad. I have those child-bearing (God willing) hips which was certainly helpful and provided an easy target.
