Hi Ladies,

I have noticed that during the last two cycles I really haven't had much CM during what should be my most fertile time....
This month it was so bad, that I could only tell that I was about to o because I had some ovulation pain, but I had absolutely no CM (even BD was a little painful it was that bad...). I am still on natural fertility therapy.

Any suggestions, I am worried as I think that without the CM the swimmers would not have gotten very far at all, let alone near the egg...

any one else ever experienced this???

I had CM issues on clomid. Are you on any stimulating meds?

I did IUIs so that combatted the CM issue for me...

I too had problems with CM and clomid. I was so dry to the point that it hurt to BD. If that is the case my RE gave me a sample of sperm friendly lube. You can only get it online. It is expensive but i found a off brand that was much cheaper.

I have always had weird CM, either way too much or the same prediciment as yourself to the point of hurting during BD.

My solution has been KY-jelly, but this is notoriously sperm-unfriendly.

So, I have heard of this stuff being pretty good, though never used it myself:

it's likely a more expensive brand, but you could try switching to KY for fun times?

I hope that's of use, though I'm sure it would be a good idea to ask the Dr before buying.

You could try anything with guaifenasin...it's a mucous thinning medication that people use for their chests when they have a cold...it also works for cervical fluid. I read about it in Toni Weschler's fertility book.

I have pre-seed but as I read the info on the tube more closely, it doesn't say that it HELPS the sperm, only that it is developed not to harm sperm. I suggest being careful because as I read it, it just won't kill it....just a thought.

I used Robitussin cough medicine (2 tbsp, twice a day) the three days before I ovulated and one day after and saw a HUGE difference in the increase. It has the guaifenasin that Lumiere74 talked about. Just make sure that you don't get something that has an anti-histamine or decongestant in it because it can undo all your efforts!

The other thing that made a big difference last month is I stopped taking the nasal steroid (Flo-nase) I've been on for two years. I talked to the pharmacist and she said that any allergy medicine and/or nasal steroid can have a bad impact on your CM since the medicine doesn't discern between your chest and nasal mucus and your CM. Have you started taking anything for allergies recently.

Those are just my thoughts.
