First and foremost, I am so glad that I found DS. I was just recently diagnosed with PCOS (about a month ago), and I am feeling so overwhelmed with everything that has been put in front of me.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for just over a year now, and we have ALWAYS wanted to have children together. I met with my OB-GYN to discuss my (VERY) irregular cycles. When I was diagnosed with PCOS, I felt like all of my hopes and dreams of becoming a mother were crushed. In the last month, I have been able to get the HSG done (which is aweful, by the way!!!) and my husband went in for his Semen Analysis. Unfortunately, my husbands results were not good either. They just called us back last month informing us that he had a low count and that we should really think about IVF.
I am having mixed emotions about that right now. Part of me would really like to just try taking the Chlomid first, at least for a little while before jumping right into IVF. I'm not sure though! There is so much to think about! I feel like I'm going crazy right now with all of the thoughts and "what ifs" going through my head!!!! Financially, we are okay - but nowhere near okay enough to take on all of the huge costs of IVF, etc.
Secondly .. I would just like to take the time to wish EVERYONE else good luck on their journeys on TTC. I wish for nothing but the very BEST for you all!

I have PCOS and have been able to get pregnant, but just have not been able to carry to term. Still not sure why, but I'm working on that.
Many women are able to get pregnant even with a diagnosis with PCOS and with you being in your early twenties you are in your most fertile years, please don't lose hope. Many women with PCOS have children. There is hope.
I understand all the "thoughts and what-ifs" and most of the women here understand that too. You aren't going crazy, infertility issues are heart breaking for most of us.
I wanted to tell you that when my hubby and I found out my issue of infertility (not able to produce the necessary hormones to produce mature eggs) I was devestated...it was a BIG decions for us to make for IVF. I started with three months of Clomid and when that did not work we went right to a specialist...and one month after that we said YES to IVF and began our journey. I think it was the best decision we've made together. I know MONEY is a huge burden (for many of us), I have no insurance coverage either hun....there are some really great financial partners our there to help you out. I know it sucks taking out a loan, but in a way we just thought of it as "another payment, like a car payment).....I would try online or have you heard of Care Credit?? They offer interest free payments at times. I'd look around while you are in the "thinking" phase...so when/if it feels right, you can make your move!

And just one word of advice - slow down. Check out all your options, what your doctor recommends may not be the right fit for you. It's really okay to take some time and look things over.
