Nervous waiting 4 orientation

So my ivf orientation is next month. I am nervous because even though I have read all I can read about ivf, I have gone through all preliminary testing, even had both tubes removed, THIS IS THE KICK OFF of my ivf. To be honest with you all this scares the hell out of me! All the doctors, shots, medicines, and procedures sheesh. for every positive thought I have there is a negative. I'm not backing down cause there is no amount of doubts that can keep me away from my baby, but I really needed to vent! What if this doesn't work. I am beyond scared to set myself up for this to fail;. I won't drag out my post I'm just looking for words of encouragement advise warnings or whatever you guys can offer.

All I can say is it is scary and exciting and an emotional roller coaster. But it is worth it to try, specially even more when you get your miracle. The orientation will be overwhelming, it was for me. Read everything you can so you feel better, but really, it's when you are in it that you come to realize the extent of IVF. Stay positive, I know its really hard, but do. Don't think about failure until if/when it happens. Stay sane, be sure to find a hobby or keep some time for yourself.

I'm gearing up for IVF too. The orientation was overwhelming...so much so that instead of signing all the consent forms there at the office we took them home to read and discuss. The forms were even scarier because they specified all of the things that *could* go wrong during the procedure. But I DON'T CARE! LOL There's nothing I'm not willing to do to become a mom and if wading through scary stuff is part of it I'll do it. Bring it on!

I agree with aboveda that staying positive is important (my therapist agrees with her too! LOL). I knew in my gut that the IUIs weren't going to work for us, and they didn't. But I've got a much better feeling about this. I'm trying to ignore that feeling in the back of my mind that tells me it might not work and am doing everything I can to focus on the bigger voice that tells me it will. Don't know if you pray or not, but I'm doing a LOT of that too!
