I personally only used clomid on my two IUI cycles the first of which was a fail and the second we did conceive but unfortunately it ended in an ectopic pregnancy.
I just wanted to tell you that IUI is not as scary as it sounds and it could very well work for you but if you feel you want to continue to try clomid on your own that's fine to, do what you feel comfortable with. With IUI it's helps to get the sperm where it needs to be thus increasing the chance of one catching the egg. They also help with the timing of ovulation.
Any way there's a little info on IUI but ultimately do what you feel comfortable with and if you don't feel comfortable with your RE find another one that you are it's important to feel comfortable and be on the same page with your RE.
I wish you the best of luck moving forward!!
I saw another RE who said that we should consider skipping IUI and going straight to IVF. I was a little uncomfortable with her suggesting that so soon or what I perceive to be soon! I have an appointment with a new RE this Tuesday morn. Wish me luck that I find a positive doctor that I connect with!
I am also sorry for your loss. I wish you luck in your journey!
Today I visited a new RE I liked her, but still not the warm fuzzy type. Maybe re doctors aren't that way. Anyway she suggests the IUI with Clomid. I think I will give clomid a try two more times then go with IUI.
I am feeling scared but hopeful at the same time.
I hope that you find a doctor that works with you. I've had some bad experiences with doctors, too. You need someone supportive during this battle, because it's a tough one, and sometimes a long one.
What has your experience with clomid been like? I'm a little nervous to try it.
