Hi Girls,
I had my ultrasound today... They gave me a heap of info but I am not sure what it all means and when I asked the ultrasound lady she said that she 'couldn't really tell me anything' :-(
anyway this is what she could tell me
My lining is a L3 size 8.5 (whatever that means)
I have twelve follicles on my left side most between 7 and 11 and then 2 which are 15 and one 18 (she told me that from 15 on they are considered mature)
on my right I have 6 follicles- 2 size 5, 2 size 6, I think a seven and one fourteen
My question is, is this any good? will the other follicles grow before trasfer?
I haven't heard from the IVF place yet (they usually call in the late afternoon and its only 10.39 am here in Aus... and I 'm doing my head in wondering....
any info, good or bad, would be appreciated

You lining is in very good shape. My doctor said anything 7 and above was good. My lining in November '09 was 8.3 and I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant! Your follicles sound like they are doing good. They might keep growing. I went through IVF in July of '09, but weeks after we got our BFP we miscarried. Good luck.

We did IVF in May. They told me the same things but I don't know what they meant either. I just wanted to say keep a positive attitude. We only had 1 egg that was mature enough at the time of retrieval. It was very disappointing but it fertilized and went through with the transfer and it worked! Against all odds we got our miracle baby. She was born on January 2nd even though my due date was today! I will keep you in my prayers

Yes, your lining sounds great! My Dr says that 8 is ideal; so you are in great shape. Your follicles sound good too, like you are well on your way. Best of luck!

For you follicles anything at a size 18 or more is great! And the ones that are at around 12 or more are doing great as well, they can continue to grow as much as 2 sizes per day! I have not had IVF but IUI and this past time I had follicles at sizes 11 & 12 and within a couple of days they grew to 15 & 16 and they continued to grow to the correct size! So if you're lucky, depending on when your transfer is, you may have more than just a couple of follicles!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
