Had my 6 week ultrasound this morning doctor said she didn't see the embryo only the sac, does it mean I have a sac only and no fetal pole! She said everything looks "great" and not to worry towards the end of the exam she did ask if I had "any frozen embryos" :-( She wants me to continue medication but I'm so so worried and upset. As soon as I left the office I busted out in tears! It's so hard not to "worry" as she put it!
I go back next Wednesday!! Please please god, let my doctor see the embryo next week!!! Any words of encouragement are greatly appreciated and also anyone with similar experience please share. Thank you all

I've read that some babies are behind and then catch up. I've never had a 6 week u/s so I can't help much there. Will keep you in my prayers. Was this IVF?

My beta continues to increase, last week it was 4576 today it was 49,714. I'm still worried that I doctor may not see an embryo :-(

I will be praying for you, hopefully the baby just needs to catch up and all will be normal next week!

Your beta sounds fantastic for six weeks and on target with doubling time. I know its the u/s that counts, but that just sounds like a solid number.

Oh no! I just went to the bathroom and I'm having some bleeding :-( I just placed a call to the on call nurse, I'm so so upset

Hopefully it's just from the internal ultrasound irritating your sensitive cervix. Are you having any bad cramps?
me2007
Just spoke to nurse and she thinks its from the ultrasound. I don't know how the probe can be any different from sex! I am having cramps but nothing severe. She said my ultrasound and hormone levels all look "great" and that's why she thinks the bleeding is from the ultrasound. Please send prayers my way, sure can use them.

I'm praying for you. Hopefully its just from the ultrasound. You have a great beta number.

Sending prayers. I do want you to know that because I had such low betas I had my RE do an U/S at 6 weeks, he saw two sacs and no embryos, but said it was too early. I went in the next week for the 7 week u/s that is standard for my RE to conduct and one sac had an embryo in it and we saw the heartbeat (the other sac was empty). This pregnancy went on to become my DD who is now 3 1/2 and very healthy and active. Good luck to you!
