Hey, I'm new to this form and would like some advice and/or may just need to vent. Here's a little background:
Have been trying to have children naturally for about a year and a half
Me: 27, healthy, have had a HSG, Blood Cultures, Post Coital, Ultrasounds, use Ovulation Predictor Kits Monthly ... everything looks normal.
Husband: 30, healthy, has low sperm count (mainly low motility and low morphology). We were referred to a urologist who determined my husband had a moderate Varicocele on his left testicle. They recommend him having a embolize testicular vein procedure that could increase his count/motility/morphology by 60%.
Anyway, after a year and a half and 3 semen analysis tests, my RE recommended starting Clomid + IUI until my husbands Varicocele was discovered and now they recommend him to go for a procedure, which I just found out TODAY. Insurance doesn't cover any infertility treatment (it covers diagnosis just not treatment). So, our best bet is to wait until AFTER his procedure. The other downfall is that it takes up to 90 days AFTER the test for the semen to cycle through.
So, I was hopeful that I was going to be starting Clomid + IUI next cycle (next weekend) and today I found out that I have to wait until Monday to call for a consultation apt, who knows how long it'll take to get in, then who knows how long it'll take to schedule the actual procedure AND then have to wait 3 months after that to use Clomid + IUI.
I know we "could" do clomid at any given point, but since insurance doesn't cover it, we want to wait for our highest chances!
After all that - I was hoping someone else had a similar experience and/or who's husband had this procedure ... or maybe I just needed to vent. I get so frustrated month after month, and I'm so sick of people telling me to "not stress" or "it'll happen when it's meant to happen" ...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
But my DH had varicocele in his left testicle and he did have the surgery.His SA was 3% normal and good motility but we had no chance of getting pregnant on our own. So the urologist had him start taking Conception RX to see what that did because we didnt want to jump into sugery right away. An we ened up doing an IUI + Clomid about 1 month later after he started the vitamins and we concived on the first try! (An his numbers were up already i think we had 29 million!) But sadly I miscarried at 6 weeks. So then we decied to lay low and have his surgery done. Then we started back up about 2 months later. His numbers were amazing he was still taking his vitamins and 2 cycles after that we conviced again! But sadly we miscarried that one also at 8w! But I have found out I have lots of issues that could have cause the miscarriages! So don't think that will happen to you! I know my DH having that surgey really helped us out it has been about 2 years in March and his count is still very good pretty much normal we had one IUI that had 80 million!
