Low egg count anyone else out there.

Hey all  I hope I can get some help from you ladies out there. I am 26 years old have been diagnosed with low eggs. My fertility specialist put me through 4 rounds of iui, letrozole and ovidrel trigger shot. This did not work at all. I am honestly lost and confused. We went back a week ago and she was telling us that we can try super ovulation with IUI. I don't feel like that will work for us. I swear my body is just stubborn and I am not meant to have a family. She also said we can try IVF but it's so pricey and its not a 100%. I just want to know how you ladies cope and get through the days, months and years. If there is any other ladies my age going through this low egg bs.

I am sorry to know yr story. Have you considered undergoing treatment at overseas clinics? IVF costs from EUR2,500 in Poland and Czech Rep, and from EUR 5,000 in Spain and Greece

Thanks you for the info. My husband says will stick to staying in Canada and paying for it here. He’s not a man who will travel.

I'm sorry you're gluing through this! I too have low egg counts so I'm going to start preparing for IUI! We don't have the money right away too even go straight to ivf as insurance dosnt cover it all. It's not an easy road, and especially with mother's day around the corner it gets harder for most of us especially when we have close friends with children. I also wish insurance would cover even half but

I wish insurance would cover it to. Just sad how us woman have to struggle for something we truly want. I am not giving up hope yet. I am going to fight till they tell me it’s the end. I truly hope my hubby will decide to go with the IVF I know it’s crazy price but I truly feel that might be the only way for me.
I hope the IUI works for you. The struggling is so hard and just being upset sucks all the time.

Yea I completely understand! Next week I'll be doing HSG and MRI so we'll see how that goes. Im 37 and every yr as i get older a peice of my hope disappear. I don't mind adopting but I'd really like to have that experience! Sometimes i feel so less of a woman.

Me too. I feel the same way. Yes I know I’m 26 and still young but my husband and I have been together since I was in high school. That’s already been 9 years.. We never used protection or anything so that’s why I feel like there is no hope for me somedays. I just want that experience to of being able to carry a child and bring a new one into this world.

I went straight to ivf, no time for iui as i was 34 and very low egg quality and quantity. I produced 1 little egg and it didnt mature past a couple hours. We were moved straight to donor eggs. Not an easy decsion. But through many discussions and some therapy it gives me a chance to carry a child with just a little help. We were given 17 eggs, 5 fertilized and we have 2 left. Another transfer next week. Just keep your options open, we started this journey thinking a few pills would solve the problem, very false. Nothing can be ruled out. You wont know how you feel about something until its your only option. Good luck and keep faith.
