"Women who have no problems conceiving typically have an AMH around 2.0 at age 35 and by their early to mid 40s the value is closer to 1.0." At 6.9, you are way higher than average. The article also says,
"Women with AMH values above 3.0 may not be ovulating every month as a result of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, a common endocrine condition affecting 5-10% of women."
I currently have two frozen embryos waiting for transfer. I don't think you need to give up at all--far from it! My RE put me on a pretty intense cycle of meds for our IVF cycles...the first cycle we got 5 eggs. I also take micronized (pharmaceutical grade) DHEA and have for several months. Feel free to message me if you want to know the details of my IVF protocol. Don't be devastated with that amh. Good luck to you!!! :)
I've heard DHEA should be taken for only 3 months - you should be monitored with blood tests if you take it longer. Other things that can help improve egg quality are: L-arginine, CoQ10, exercise, yoga, diminish sugar intake, and eat healthier.
Good luck!
