Yes and no. Losing weight is very important for many reasons. However, do not think that being fat is what is preventing you from getting pregnant.
I am obese. In September 2008, I reached 383 lbs. As of this morning, I am now 298 lbs. I am still obese but, I am way more fit NOW than when I was smaller. I continue to eat well, I am on weight watchers and only eat good food. I had one chemical pregnancy nothing else. So, yes, eating well, exercise, vitamines and STRESS reduction is what is required to get pregnant.
If you need to talk to me about weight loss, let me know. This morning, I was down to 295 (I lost 3 lbs in 24 hours ???????).
I live on my scale!
My doctors keep telling me the only way I could get pregnant with PCOS would be losing weight. I am so depressed right now, it takes a village to take me out of bed and take a shower and get through the day, and I don't feel like excercising AT ALL. My husband bought the Wii Fit so I dont have to go out to workout- nothing, bought a stationary bike- nothing, paid membership for a super gym- nothing. It's crazy how bad I feel, and all I get back is "lose weight and it'll happen". I just don't know what else to do. I would love to lose some weight and I'm pretty sure it'll help me feel better about myself too, I just dont have the motivation right now.
