Anyone ever been on this? I saw my re today for a pre-op appt.- Laporoscopy is scheduled for the 28th. I mentioned my side effects from Clomid, and he mentioned this drug... just wondering what you guys know/think.

I just started Letrozole last month. Will start second round on Thursday. My side effects were soooo much worse on the Clomid than on this. My mood swings weren't near as bad. Still have hot flashes but not near as bad as on the Clomid. Hope it helps!!! Good Luck:)

After thought: (haha) Letrozole is also known as Femera (sp?), that mite help if you want to look it up somewhere.

I am supposed to start Letrozole on my next cycle which has not happened yet...2 months so far...ONe of my friends was on it for two months and now has two kids.

I am doing a little research on it... does it increase the odds of miscarriage?

I haven't heard that increases the chance of miscarriage. That wasn't something that my Dr. mentioned. Always good to do research. I did when I started it.

Hi there! I was on Femara (Letrozole) for 3 cycles and we got pregnant on the 3rd cycle :o) The ONLY side effect I got from it was hot flashes. My dr. went straight to this drug instead of Clomid so I can't really compare the two. All I know is that we got success from it :o) Best of luck!!

I started taking this last month. Had a few hot flashes. you need to check out www.femara.com I just went there & the site is currently down, but check it out the have a free 30 day supply.

My RE prescribed this for me after my last failed IUI (#2). Since then, I have had cysts and decided to take some time off. I am going back for cycle day #3 testing on Thursday and the nurses will explain how I have to work this med in with the injections into my regime this time around. Supposedly it helps in conjunction with the Bravelle and HCG and does have a risk of multiples but much lower than Clomid.
