Is your mother-in-law aware of your infertility struggles- that it is something you really wanted? It may seem like a silly question, but for myself, I have had a hard time opening up with some people about my struggles, so when they say something insensitive, they have no idea how their words/actions have affected me. I know my own mom means no harm, but every time she runs into old friends, I get a full status report on how many kids or grandkids they have now. Unfortunately for us, children are a common bond that so many people share and constantly want to talk about- it's so annoying.
I definitely have my days of raging anger and hurt, and I hate the person it turns me into. I just take it day by day and know that eventually the anger and hurt will lessen and I will come up with some way to cope with it. I feel like I whisper "this too shall pass" to myself on a daily basis. This is my journey and the path I was given to walk, even if I don't like or agree with it. I can't focus on what anyone else has or what they are doing, because in the long run it is not going to help me in my own struggle and it just adds weight to my burden. Your own anger and hurt will lessen and you will move forward with this situation. Sending you peaceful thoughts... :)
