Didn't see the Jennifer Lopez interview. But, I went through a similar experience. I had my daughter through IVF and her father passed away from cancer-two months before her birth!! I agree in your case and mine, our children are truly a blessing.

I had E on earlier but not right now, so I did not see it. She could have meant many things by her statement. Some rumors were that she did IVF with gender selection to have twins, a boy and a girl. She may have been stating that she thought it was not natural to do that if she could get pregnant without the need of medical help.

But, there are people who do not believe in IVF. Some people do not believe in it for religious reasons and others just think that it is not natural and if they can not get pregnant for what ever reason then that is how it is meant to be.

We all have our own beliefs and are all entitled to them. Although I believe God works through people, including the doctors who do IVF, I still respect other people's beliefs.

Does it hurt when we hear something like you heard? Yes, it does and in some ways it makes it sound like the children we have through IVF are not natural. But you and I know that is not true. They are just as natural and meant to be as any other child that comes into this world. Try not to let it bother you. Look at your little miracle and remember that God meant for her to be in your life, and so she is.

I did not see the piece on the E! channel but I believe she was interviewed for Elle Magazine this month and she talks about her twins and not going through IVF. I believe she was trying to say that she did not go through IVF for religious reasons-exactly what Lionness said. This is what she said with regards to IVF: "When it comes to family and relationships, Im quite traditional. Just because of the way I was raised. And I also believe in God and I have a lot of faith in that, so I just felt like you dont mess with things like that. And I guess deep down I really felt like either this is not going to happen for me or it is. You know what I mean? And if it is, it will. And if its not, its not going to." I did hear a rumor that she was seen at a fertility clinic in Los Angeles from a friend. Who knows, maybe she did IUIs.

She's such a fake shallow person. She suffered infertility and is now in denial. She had m'c's and everything. Ugh! She is unnatural. Just be real JEN! Isn't that one of your songs??

I read the interview online after reading your post. I don't believe she was criticizing others for using IVF, only saying that IVF is not a choice she would make for herself. As Lioness816 stated, some people have religious beliefs that don't agree with certain infertility treatments.

And Michelle5--thanks for getting us talking. It would be nice if people in the public eye would be open about IF, but I barely talk about it even with my close friends. I can see how they might want to protect that painful part of their lives. I don't think any of this is "natural"--it certainly doesn't feel like it when you are timing BD and taking pills and counting days!

I have a hard time believing that J lo didnt have any medical help for those miracle twins- I may just be crabby, but I hate when hollywood will gloss over the infertility the couples go through- most wont even say thats what they had- I wish they could be more open about it instead of embarrassed

no, but she would say wedding vows what 3 times!! Those ppl are nuts, don't place any value on what they have to say...like she should talk about morals...I have yet to see her behave with any!
