Me! If all goes well at my suppression check I should have my retrieval and transfer right around Christmas, just in time for a beta right around my fourth wedding anniversary on New Year's Eve! Best or worst holiday season ever...

I hear you on the best or worst holiday season ever. If I transfer 12/13, that means my beta will be right before Christmas. The question is, do I POAS a few days early so that if it's negative, I can get the crying over with before the 25th, do I just wait until the beta on 12/23 or 12/24 and hope for the best or do I wait until after Christmas?? My work has a Christmas party on 12/26 and lots of drinking will be involved, so not sure if I want to wait until after. What would you do??

Not drinking during the holidays is going to be a tough one to explain. I'm not looking forward to that. I really don't know what I would do, but $20 bucks says you can't hold off and POAS before the holiday!

What worries me is that I am co-hosting a baby shower for one of my best friends on 1/5 which means if I get a BFN I will be in the thick of a huge baby shower within days of it. Ugh. I'm staying positive though!!!

Hah! I'm not sure I can take that bet with you!! I'm thinking POAS will be the way to go a few days before so I can prepare myself for the holidays. But, like you, I'm trying to stay positive and excited that this will work!!

I'm now in this cycle...original cycle was for November but was pushed back. I have my baseline on Wednesday and hopefully...my FET the following week???? Not quite sure how it works....

I have started my estrogen patches...but nothing else yet....when did you start your progesterone shots? Did you do the shots?

Hello ladies, I'm new to this thread!!! We are doing a FET 12/3! We have g/g 20 month old twins from our first fresh IVF cycle and have 5 day 6 blasts that we will be transferring 1 in the next couple weeks! Eeek!!! I've been taking Lupron, estrace, doxycycline, flagyl, baby aspirin and prenatal. Omg, my stomach has never been sooo upset! Today they told me I could stop the flagyl because it's killing me!!! I hope we all have sticky baby dust!!!!!!

I'm the only fresh cycle so far! Well I'm glad I can pepper you ladies with my incessant questions since you've all already been there.

My meds are shipping today and I start Lupron on Sunday night. I'm nervous about injecting myself! I'm not even remotely scared of needles (I donate blood all the time) but somehow the thought of doing it to myself really creeps me out. I'm so worried that I either won't push hard enough or will push too hard to get the needle in! They say "like a dart" but I throw darts pretty freaking hard!

Leciag - I know RE's all have different FET procedures as to when. I will probably get AF on 12/1 and the estimated day of my FET is 12/13, but I might go until 12/14 or 12/15 to let my lining build more. I would think my baseline would be 12/3, so 10 days before FET. I start the lovely PIO shots 5 days before FET.

Lalong - welcome!! Your FET is just a few days away! I hope you have success like your fresh transfer.

KDeezy - ask away!! Are you taking ganirelix at all? Mine were in prefilled syringes and the needles are so dull!! It took a lot to puncture the skin with that shot, but it sounds like you would have no problem with your awesome dart skills ;)

I am also doing my first FET cycle after a failed IVF. I have been taking estrogen tablets and have my first blood test on Sat with transfer for the 5th of Dec. I am so excited as it's my birthday on the 19th and I would so love to be pregnant by then!
Look forward to hearing about all the girls. K Deezy I was nervous about the injections (had gonalF and cetrotide) and they were so fine although I got my partner to give them too me, so you are super brave doing them yourself!

Question! Should I expect my period on time while I'm taking Lupron? I stop BCP next Sunday, right about when it's due. And if so...is it going to be the usual endo hell or should I expect it to be less terrible?

My suppression check is on day 3 (assuming it comes, and on time) and honestly I'm generally in such extreme pain that I don't know if my body can physically handle an internal ultrasound.

Thanks ladies! Had an ultrasound and blood draw on Monday and my lining was only at 6 and they want it at an 8 or 9! That's just my luck! So they upped my dose of Estrace to 4x daily! Going back tomorrow and having it checked again. Hopefully we will still be right on track for December 3rd.
Chimera1, your only a few days behind me. Are you taking any estrogen to thicken your lining?
Kdeezy my cycle came like 2 days after I stopped the pill, but the vaginal estrogen stopped it. They said it's normal to get it;) And told me that before I even got it! Are they starting you on estrogen then?
