OK so I went to the RE today and have 7 follicles but about 5 that are more of the potentials. (I did Clomid 100 mg for 5 days - plus injections 4 days every other day) ANYWAY...my doctor was really happy with a potential of 5 eggs for my IUI. So I trigger on Thurs. and go for IUI on Sat.

WE DO NOT HAVE SPERM ISSUES AT ALL! The last IUI my fiance had 125 million AFTER WASH - no joke and the motility was good too. ANYWAY...my question is do you recommend 1 or 2 IUI's. My doctor was pretty vague in telling me what I should do. He said that it doesn't hurt to do 2 IUI's - but also studies and results have shown that 1 is all you need to get enough up there. SO I'm confused on what to do. Of course he told me to have sex several times around the ovulation time - NO PROBLEM there! But as far as the IUI what should I do?

P.S. - I went and rubbed all over the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Fertility Statues - they are in Hollywood Calif right now and me and my girlfriend went 2 weekends ago! It was great!!!

We did two but we have sperm issues. I would think that one would be enough especially if you are having sex too. But if you feel better doing two then go for it! Good luck!! :-)

We have always done two but are dealing with male factor issues. If you are able to BD around ovulation time as well and your DF has such great numbers than I am sure one is fine as well.

My RE has never even given me the option of 2 and we have male issues. If your fiance's counts are that good I would think you'd only need one but I'm no expert! Good Luck!

We did dual IUI's both times, with positive results both times. I am huge proponet of dual IUI's ..

from what I researched it doesn't increase your chances of multiples but it does increase your actual percetage of geting a BFP

We also have no sperm issues the issue with me was that my eggs are aging faster than they are supposed to.

Welcome back!! I asked my RE about back to back and she said that she only does that when people are using frozen sperm or major sperm issues. With those numbers, I would say you are good to go. Having said that, as desperate as I am, I would do 3 iuis if I thought it would increase my chances!!! Good luck!!

We got a bpf with one IUI and bd for a couple nights afterwards and that was with male factor. With those numbers, I think you would be fine with one IUI, but you certainly can't hurt anything by having two.

I trigger tonight and go in tomorrow and Friday for IUIs...I have 6 follicles that should be good to go, 2 on my L and 4 on my R. This is my best cycle I've ever had so far so I definitely am in favor of 2 IUIs. Good luck to you!!!

Wow I would love to have rubbed all over that statue. i thought about mailing my hands in and they are suppose to rub on them for you. But I doubt that. I am going for my 3rd IuI next week. They have failed because the first time I had the flu and the second my husband had a white blood count in his stuff, So now that the sick seasons are over.. maybe. I have only done one so I think that is all you need because of the fact that they do all the work for the sperm by putting them right where they need to be. If he had a low count then I would say yes two. Good Luck.. I will be right behind you.

Thank you girls!!! I'm so excited and nervous, I really want this one to work - the clock is ticking really loud! This is my best cycle yet so I hope it ends up being the last because I'm prego.

Oh and I too faxed my hand to Ripley's when the statues were in San Francisco, not sure if they rubbed them, but I figured what the heck may as well do it!!! I was so thrilled to rub them in person! They have onsies that say "I'm a Ripley's Believe It Or Not baby!" - I'll totally get one if I get pregnant soon!
