About 3 years ago I unfortunately had to have my daughter by c-section, soon after she was born we started trying to get pregnant again. At the time I didn't take it into consideration that my periods weren't coming, & because I wasn't having any periods I of course wasn't ovulating. Well a couple of months later I went to see my doctor, & I was describing symptoms I was having & she thought that I could possibly have PCOS. The symptoms I was having seemed to fit with the PCOS symptoms,so she did some blood tests on me & I was then unfortunately diagnosed with PCOS. So after that I knew then that the reason I wasn't getting my periods & ovulating was because I had PCOS. I was disappointed to be diagnosed with PCOS but at least I was able to find out what was going on. Soon after that my doctor put me on provera to get my periods to start, & then she also put me on clomid & 2 months later my periods started coming on there own. And I then also started ovulating, but my body had to pretty much start from scratch, & we waited for a couple of months to see if I would be able to get pregnant. And it wasn't happening we then decided to try going to a fertility clinic, & the fertility specialist said that because I had to have a c-section. He was thinking that my problem was possibly caused by scar tissue from having a c-section. So I recently went & talked to my doctor about how to get rid of the scar tissue, & she told me that the only way that they can see if anything is wrong or not in the fallopian tubes & uterus is by having an
HSG dye x-ray done. So I just recently had the dye x-ray done, & my tubes & uterus looked clear & in good shape. So it's possible that there was scar tissue of some sort before I had the dye x-ray done. So now we will see what happens, we hope & pray that this dye x-ray will take care of the problem & we hope to be able to get pregnant again soon. It's been pretty hard & frustrating for us, but at least I was able to be diagnosed with something so I would know how to treat it. So my doctor has me on clomid & metformin to help treat the PCOS. Have any of you ladies had to have a c-section & needed to have a dye x-ray done to flush out the scar tissue? What are your thoughts & stories about getting rid of scar tissue? Any info. would be helpful, thanks.
