Infertility & asking for support:Why is it so

Sharing something I wrote today, which took pretty much all the strength I have. It is so hard to ask for support, and to own that I don't feel I deserve it because I have "failed" on this journey to conception. What value does my voice have when standing up against all the others who are "successes" in conceiving?

I just left my comment to you. The least I can do for someone who has given so much love, strength and support. Many of us seem to fight that sense of feeling unworthy. I know I am faced with it too often in this journey. Just an example that came to mind when I read this; After my last surgery where my ovaries were drilled and scar tissue removed I woke up and needed to use the bathroom. I happened to bleed in the hallway ( post-op, duh). I was so embarresed I tried to "clean up" after my fourth round of Fentynl and barely being able to stand. This is just one of the ways my feeling of not being worthy or feeling damaged came out. The next few days I really reflected upon this because the physical example goes so much deeper. I do not need to apologize. I am not broken! I am worthy of help and support. I am worthy of being nurtured!

Loveswife, thank you for your comment on my post for the competition, and for what you've shared below. I just wanted to give you a big hug when I read what you wrote. This path we travel is a hard one, and we are often so hard on ourselves while traveling it. You are brave, strong, and you ARE worthy of support, love, nurturing and encouragement!!
