I was told I had this too but they had to do and HSG to determine it - what I understood it to mean was that your tubes contract and then relax...sometimes...I know it sounds weird but they did another HSG on me and said I didn't have one....ugh...was I confused...but stay positive we did have to do an IVF but we finally got our BFP and are 7 weeks!! I had this in both my tubes... hydrosalphinx (which i can't spell either) is when your tubes get filled with fluid usually because of a blockages... The fluid is 100% normal as far as it is usually there but flows out of your tubes into your abdomen and gets reabsorbed.. When this path gets blocked the fluid can back up in your tubes and begin leaking back into your uterus... If your tubes are blocked (which they can't tell 100% with u/s you will probably need an HSG to determine) then this would prevent pregnancy
( if it is only one than you can still get pg but usually every other month since one tube is working) the fluid can harm a fetus if it is draining into your uterus... I was told i had to have the tubes fixed/removed before ivf... I had left fixed and right removed... 9 months later after no success.. I had ivf... 1 try was negative but 2nd with my frozen embryos worked and i am now 15 weeks... if you have any other questions you are welcome to message me...
