That is a really good question and one I don't have an easy answer to. We did IUI and 5 rounds of IVF with zero pregnancies. I was hopeful for the first even though some people kept reminding me that it may take more then one try. Of course I knew that, I am smart and realistic, but other people got pregnant their first IVF so why not me? Well, it didn't work. We did our 2nd cycle several months later right before Christmas. I had since found DS and know it made ALL the difference for me. I had so much support from all the amazing women here. They helped me through. The days when doubt found its way in, they were my cheering section and reminded me to keep believing, so I did. I wish I could say that it worked for us that cycle, but due to zero motility in two s/a samples none of my eggs fertilized and the cycle ended there. Well, time went on and with each new cycle I thought it had to be the one and each one I got the horrible phone call that I dread. But I don't want you to think my story is all sad. We learned a lot during our cycles and now have to frozen embryos waiting for us to be ready to do FET.

What I will tell you is over the years I have been on DS I have had the privilege of getting to know some of the most courageous, caring, loving, determined, kind hearted women I will ever meet. I have also watched SO many of them move on the have their miracle babies. Some are even back to try for a second child. There were many who got pregnant their first and second times trying and others it took a little longer. It happened for them and it can happen for you.

My advice is to stay close with the women here. Let us help you through your cycle. It is normal to be cautiously optimistic. But, when doubt creeps in (and it will try) replace it with a positive thought. You do not always need to believe in the moment what you are telling yourself, but if you say it often enough you will believe. Let others here know how you are feeling, when you feel happy and hopeful and when you are scared. They have a great way of helping to talk you up when you are feeling down.

i had two failed cycles and now i am moving to my 3rd cycle and i have been looking farward for it, i know it is stressfull,but i am trying to think positive and also i have been eating healthy and doing some research about what i should eat or not eat during that time and found out a lot of good information,i am optmistic .my time will come and yours will come too. i wish you good luck !
