I did google everything I could and spent a lot of time here asking questsions. I didn't have 8 months, but still its normal to be excited. You will see that time flies. Good luck!

Not sure if I have a good answer for you I had a mc in June after my 1st IVF and am still waiting fir number 2 to get set up and I'm going crazy.
I know what helped is I started planning things, I booked a cruise in March so I have that to look foward too.
I also got back to exercising. It's not only good for you but I needed to start loosing the weight I put on with my first cycle.
The rest of the time sharing on DH is what keeps me sane. I try to stay focus on my friends going though cycles while I can't and stay positive for them.
If you find something great, please share !
My shrink helped me by asking me this question "what do you like about today? what joy can you get out of today?"
I was living in the future and in the past and it was pretty darn tough. I try now to do what the movie Rent says: "Live Day by To-day."
So the question is: what can you do to take your mind off of the wait? Get together with friends? Drink a bottle of wine? Go for a long run? These are all things that you may not be able to do once you have a baby - or are pregnant. So create the list of the 100 things you'd like to sneak in before pregnancy, and go for it.
I won't lie, I drank a lot, at a lot of soft cheese and other pregnancy no-no foods, did yoga to relax myself (and pull me out of my anxiety), and tried to have sex at a normal rate.
It's been killer. Now I'm waiting again, another month of counting down to see if I'll be happy or devistated next month. I'm hoping the living day by day thing will help if I receive bad news...
I am gonna try to give up coffee before then, it might take a while, but luckily I dont have to worry on the alcohol front as I dont drink a lot anyway.
DH and I have once a week date nights. Typically we do this during the week to break up the work week. We've found that most restaurants have great deals on Tues or Wed nights. We even went bowling one week because they had $1 games on Wed and half price appetizers. We spent less than $20 and left full and laughing. We also do stay-at-home date nights where we make something special together (It's actually really fun to make homemade pizza together) and watch a movie cuddled up on the couch or play board games. We also have a rule that on date night we CANNOT talk about anything related to children. It makes us focus on each other and we've learned by doing this that we actually do really like each other!
We've also made the decision that once a month we travel. I'm not saying that once a month we do a dream trip to Europe. I mean we go someplace outside of our town. This also gets us out of a rut and not so focused on babies. We've gone camping, visited friends who live a few hours away, or just gone hiking for the afternoon at a park we've always talked about going to. These trips are always inexpensive, quick, but really fun and re-energizes us and our relationship. There have been several times that we throw these little trips together at the last minute and we know that will be much harder with kids. When I'm running around the house trying to pack quickly, I always think "When I have kids I'll never be able to do this!" It actually makes me happy thinking that I am taking advantage of this time when it's just me and DH.
Anyway, date nights and mini-trips are what has gotten me through many of the tough months waiting. Hope it can help you too!
