Hello ladies,
I am 22 and my hubby is 24 we are very healthy and active the whole nine yards. We got married 2 years ago and we decided to start our family....well we thought we were.. we tried for about 7 months and with our health and age something was not adding up i frigured that there was something wrong...so i went to my OBGYN he told me to have my hubby checked out so he went and had a SA done in october we found out he had 97% deformed sperm and 3% ok he had good mobility 75% but the numbers were a little low 15 million, So my OBGYN told me he wanted me to have a HSG done to make sure my tubes were open then we would think about IUI...So my tubes were open! And he put me on Chlomid...After that he wanted my hubby to go to a urologist...(i think i spelled that wrong owell)... we did and he has varicocel...the doctor told us to get the surgary done, but we decided to wait. the doctor gave us some vitamins for my hubby and he started taking them and had another SA done and it came back 89% deformed and they said 7% healthy and his count was up to 110 million! i was very happy to hear that so we decided to have an IUI to see if we would get lucky and that was on DEC 19th and i am still waiting to see if i am preggers i dont feel like i am but he had 29 million healthy sperm in the wash!! so i thought it would have to work ....but i am having so much trouble dealing with this pain in my heart and my head its a scary thought that i could never have a baby and i just have no one to talk to and this seemed like a really nice place let my feelings out so ladies if you could give me some type of advice to deal with this it would mean a lot :) Thanks!

I don't know what hubby is on but fertileaid was what our RE recommended. DH needs to be wearing boxers not briefs. He needs to keep the boys cool and unrestricted. IUI should work as long as his counts stay where they are or get better. Do not get discouraged if the 1st round isn't successful it took DH and I 3 rounds before it took. The RE told me the usually it takes the body at least a round to get the idea. Do give up you are only at the beginning of the journey and you both are so young that you have plenty of time to figure it out and get that miracle baby. Hoping and praying that it works out and you get BFP results this round. XO :)

Hang in there the 2 wk wait to find out is always the hardest part. Just try to keep urself as busy as possible so ur not constantly thinking about it and stressing out. And like Jenn1307 said dont give up and hang tight if it doesnt work this month next month will have better odds.much luck!

welcome mrsfrog31! It sounds like you have pretty good odds in the long run, just stick with it!! Good luck!

29 million healthy sperm sounds pretty darn good! My hubby's counts were nowhere near that high and we were successful on our 3rd IUI! Even if everything is normal, it often doesn't work on the 1st try so don't be too bummed if it doesn't work (easier said than done, right?).

Thank you for the warm welcome Ja0811 I am tryin to keep my head up! And yes Aicurn he did have a very good wash!! I couldnt get over it! but i didnt have the best IUI it was very painful they had to open my cervics because the it was so tight and i about hit the roof when they did that!!! i bleed for a day after no big deal but still it was not all that fun but i will do it if that is what it takes! But yes it is easier said than done some days! this month i have been so mood swingy and aggervated.....i have had some dizzy spells and my nipples are a little on the sore side but nothing horrible....and i do have a funny dull cramp in my uterus when i lay in bed stretch out my back...kinda funny never had that .... but thank you again for all your support i am so glad i found this site!!!
