A friend of mine rings me today and says to me how would you like a baby in a couple of months... I was like WHAT! are you pregnant?? and she says yes and I want you to adopt it... so I say, look I'm not sure I (thinking wow this is a massive decision and something that I need to talk to my DH about...) and then she screams APRIL'S FOOL!

I guess you are the only ones who can imagine how angry and hurt I am right now... this person knows how I have struggled with IF and she does this. Talk abut missing a sensitivity chip! needless to say I will be keeping my distance from now on.

Stupidity, insensitivity and ignorance about infertility exists everyday - even on April Fool's day. I don't blame you for being pissed, but we learn who are true friends and support system are when we're faced with infertility. My suggestion is to quickly alleviate her from your list of confidants. You don't need that aggravation. Hugs to you.

Holy crap! That is horrible! It's not just us ladies on here that understand... that is so out of line anyone would be able to see that is insensitive and just plain mean. I would never normally tell someone what to do, but cut her out of your life. I can't even imagine what was going through her head to make her think that would be OK to say.

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. I hope that you are OK.
