How long did you ladies stay on bed rest after ET? My RE suggests 2 or 3 days. I have 2 friends who took a full week and both got BFP's on their 1st IVF. I took 4 days my 1st cycle (got a BFN). My ET will be either this Sunday or Tuesday so I'm wondering if I should stay any extra days if it makes a difference. Thanks!

My RE requires 24 hours of "bathroom only" bedrest. I will be high risk so I may take another day of bedrest and then a few days of low activity. If the embryos are going to implant, they will implant within the first 24-48 hours. GL!!

My DR suggests one day of full bedrest then one day of moderate bedrest. We live along way away from our DR so the 2nd day I will be in a car all day.

My doctor says 3 days. I got a bfp with my first ivf, then a bfn with my fet, both times had 3 days bed rest.

My Re requires 1 day of bedrest with bathroom trips only. Then we are limited to light activity for 4-5 days. I usually take off of work for a week because I have a very physical job. Good luck!!

My RE says that you should only rest the day of the ET and that is it. But I have heard so many different stories, On my 1St.FET I stayed in bed for 3 whole days and I got a BFN. So I think it really just matters within that 24-48 hours. But do what makes you and DH feel comfortable.

Thank you all for your replies, I guess I'll probably take 3 or 4 days again and just it easy the rest of the week.

I took 2 days of modified bed rest. My RE actually said there's no proof that it helps but for peace of mind, he recommended I do it. One interesting article I read said that our uterus is actually on the vertical when we're lying down making it counterproductive if implantation is to happen. Good luck to you though.

I just met with my RE today, and he said to basically just take it easy, that there's really no evidence that bedrest improves outcomes. He said basically don't do anything that you will worry about or feel guilty if you get a BFN.
