I have my transfer soon and am confused whether to do one or two any suggestions ?? My acupuncturist suggested better 2 since iam going through so much but my doctor says one as it's safer option. Am so confused !! My gut says two..If am not destined to have twins then iam sure only one will stick right ?

I don't have a whole lot of expertise in this department, but did you end up doing the PGD screening on your embryos? All I can tell you is what my doctor told me, which was this: since ours were PGD screened, she said she would only feel comfortable transferring one at a time. She also said, (and this part I found kind of fascinating, to be honest...) that contrary to what most people may think, to transfer two embryos does not actually increase your chances of a successful implantation, but does drastically increase your chances of twins, which is typically not as safe for mommy or babies. I would go with what doctor recommends over the acupuncturist, but that is just my humble opinion. I would certainly suggest that you have an open and honest conversation with your hubby and your doctor so that everyone feels comfortable and is on the same page before your transfer. The most important thing is ultimately your health, and that you are able to not be anxious or stressed after the transfer, so you can relax and think happy thoughts! This is, of course, just my two cents, hopefully it is helpful! Sending you happy thoughts and baby dust for sure!!

Thank you so much for your suggestions .. my hubby was saying one as well but I feel it should be two. I have not done the PGD screening yet as the doctor did not recommend until now. I went for the uterine scratching though which could improve chances of implantation. I wish I could take the right decision !!

I had my transfer a week back and I really don't have a single symptom which makes me feel like this could not happen again and it kills me . The 2 ww is the worst and I have my blood draw on Monday , hopefulmommytobe did you have any symptoms . I believe that without a symptom getting my hopes up high is going to be hard !!

I honestly don't think I really had any symptoms during the waiting period...I kept thinking that I would, which just drives you more cookoo! But from what I remember, the only (if any) symptoms I had during that waiting time was a little bloating. But it was come and go, so I just remembered thinking that it could just be from the transfer. Now, boy oh boy, exhaustion, sore boobies (sorry if TMI!), and unfortunately, a handful of days of nausea, but none of those symptoms really started for me until after the blood check. Hang in there little mommy, just try to get some rest and relax! Also, try not to read too many blogs or posts from other women, just because all of us are different, so just because one person has symptoms doesn't necessarily mean you will. My doctor's office told me not to worry, because lots of people don't really have any symptoms that early on. You are almost there, only 4 more days til you get to hear the good news! I have a great feeling it is going to be good! I'm so hopeful for you! I'll be thinking of you Monday, because that will be our 8 week ultrasound day, and we will hopefully be able to hear baby's heartbeat! I am so excited for both of us! Baby dust to you!!

Thank you so much for listening to my crazy rambling ! The last 2 days have been insane as I have been reading so much blogs and posts and not having a single symptom broke me down yesterday . I started to think what it would feel if it fails again and was praying so much to give me strength no matter the outcome. The first IVF I was the most positive and I was devastated , i don't want my hopes up too High to get it crushed , I don't want to be negative too !!
Did you take a home pregnancy test before the blood draw? Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for wishing for me , I really wish it is good news . Iam so excited for your 8 week scan , hugs back to you and your little peanut !!!

Awe, that just made me tear up reading that! I really hope against hope that you will be on cloud one million (forget NINE! haha) on Monday, and that you and the hubby will get amazing, happy news that your little family is growing by two feet! No, I resisted the temptation to do a home pregnancy test, although admittedly, I almost caved and bought one a day before our test. But then I talked myself out of it. I just didn't want to have any false results, either way, because then I knew that the wait until our actual results from the doctor would have been that much more painful for me. Just remember with all these blogs, etc. that just because you aren't experiencing any symptoms yet doesn't really mean anything about pregnant or not, frankly, my doctors and nurses told me that a lot of the early "symptoms" such as feeling bloated and not getting a period when you would ordinarily have one, could also just be from the hormones they have us on anyway. None of my definite symptoms, like peeing constantly and sore boobs, happened until well into week 6, and we did our scan when we would have just then been only 4 weeks preggo. So it is still super early to be having any symptoms anyway. You are not rambling, believe me, I know what your poor mind goes through during that seemingly endless wait time, and I completely understand. It will all be okay, I think you are doing the right thing to stay as even keel as possible, even though it is hard to control those excited and nervous emotions. We are almost there, you are going to get great results and your world will be over the moon! And we will get to see and hear our little nugget! Eeek, I am so excited for us both! Hang in there, you are almost finished, and soon it will be just one of the many happy memories on this crazy journey!! xoxo

Thank you, although I feel so sad for you. What are your next steps? Did your doctor give you some recommendations? Or are you and hubby taking a break for now? Our scan went really well, and we got to hear the heartbeat, which was pretty amazing. I totally cried like a baby. I'm so sorry Jash, I know how hard this is for you emotionally! ):
