Here we go again

First, I want to say Happy New Year to you all and truly hope WE ALL get our little bundles of joy! 


My husband and I decided that we are going to start the new year with all positive thoughts and get ourselves healthy so trying to get pregnant will be a FUN time and not so SAD time. My husband started taking fertility, all natural vitamins, I have cut out carbs and red meat. God help us, we are going to be happy and healthy, even if we can not grow our family.


So today is the first day back to work. A co-worker had her baby today and all the texts and emails went out. I'm very happy for her! I will not let this damper my good energy. And then, during our first meeting of the year, another co-worker announced she is 7 weeks pregnant, with her 3rd child. Again, I'm so happy for her. But this one kind of got to me. She is 33 and said "I'm so old but here I go again!"....I'm 40 and she looked right at me and gave me a sad face. Part of me wanted to punch her in her face but I'm sure she didn't mean anything. This was not the way I wanted to start my work for 2018. 


Here we go again, another year where everyone gets pregnant but me????.....Lord I hope not

I believe it is with the best intentions that we all go into this New Year trying to be the best non bitter versions of ourselves. I think you have 100 the right thoughts and goals and I also think You are HUMAN and to let yourself be HUMAN every once in a while. It is so so frustrating to see people make jokes/complain about being pregnant while others would give up Red Meat or caffeine or anything asked of them to obtain their dream of becoming a mother. Again though as Im often reminded, we can only control our reactions to someones actions. You are a FIGHTER.. you are strong and dont let her or any one ruin the goal you have set for your own happiness. I think it is big of you and I truly believe that if you slip once in a while, its okay too... you are human and this journey is extremely hard. Wishing you all the baby dust I possibly can

OMG I admire your restraint for not knocking that look off her face! Of COURSE you are happy for her but it is hard when you are struggling with infertility.

My most recent IUI was Dec 28. As I was pulling on my boots to go to the clinic my phone chimed with a text message. It was an ultrasound pic from a friend. I’m happy for her but it felt like a knife in the heart. That same day, Dec 28, another acquaintance had a baby.

Here’s to a happy, peaceful, baby-filled new year for all of us. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you.

You are a strong woman and not allowing negativity take away your positivity and peace shows that your are getting ready for great news ahead!!!! 2018 will be a year of overcoming , Very inspiring
