If your doctor hasn't recommended a recheck, and I am not saying he should it just wasn't clear to me if they had decided this to be true, or if you are questioning it, then hat you have had is called a missed miscarriage, meaning that the baby has since died but your body has not released. I had this happen twice, I am so very sorry.

My Dr. said that it was up to me if I want to get rechecked. I think we do. But she didn't sound optomistic. She said that we could stop now or get rechecked next week and then stop. She wants us to do a D&C so that maybe we will have some answers. I am so lost right now...my emotions are all over the place.

I would get the recheck, just so that you can have closure. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. Miscarriage is so painful, especially when you have struggled with infertility. I said a prayer for you.

I am so sorry for what you are going through. At 6 weeks you should be able to see something. Unfortunately if they didn't see anything and all your symptoms have disappeared the odds are not in your favor. You truly may have seen a heartbeat the first time. When I MC I was at doctor on a Monday and the heart rate was 178 and the baby was gone that Friday. It can happen just that quick. Once again I am so sorry for your loss.

i had a recheck at a radiologist and they sent the results to my RE. heck i think my insurance covered it bc it was "diagnostic"

She was super nice and i knew it was over but she was able to gently tell me that she didnt see anything flickering and that she was very sorry. I was already kinda resigned to it but of course it was still hard. It helped I had my 3yo niece with me that day (she sat coloring heedless of what was going on) and I couldn't fall apart bc i had to take care of her. That truly helped

I opted for the D&C and it was the best choice. It's painless and quick and my RE did it at their office, they have a surgical center for that stuff, so I was comfortable there and i went home that day. I took it easy for a few days and had some cramping but nothing too bad. Then towards the end of the week I started cramping every few minutes and then it'd go away. I'd run to the bathroom when i was cramping and i'd pass some blood but nothing too bad. Then it occurred to me that I was having contractions and passing any renaming tissue. My only qualms was that my dr never told me this and it was particularly upsetting to discover on my own.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. We are hoping for the best but unfourtanetly are not expecting it. Does anyone know if there is any kind of test that they can run on our chromosones together before IVF? I just don't want to go through all the money and pain of IVF to be told that our egg and sperm together are abnormal. We have tested seperately and our chromosones were fine.

We go Monday at 10am for an ultrasound. We are hoping for the best but not expecting it. Has anyone else had a possible chromosone problem? We have both tested seperately and are fine, but they think when my egg and his sperm meet there is an abnormality formed. I was just wandering if there is a test that we can do to check our stuff together before we go through the pain, money and time of IVF.
