Has anyone tested at home before beta?

I know it's not recommended that you test at home but, My DH may have to go out of town next week for work and my beta is set for Wednesday. He wants to test at home before he leaves on Sunday. Has anyone tested at home? How long after your hcg should you wait? HELP!

I am not sure the answer to your question, but if you don't mind my asking, where do you get your hcg? I went all over the place looking for it because my doctor does not carry it in the office. After Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS and an independent pharmacy that best I could to was that WalMart would "try" to order it, but had no idea when it would come in.

I got mine from the walgreen specialty pharmacy. We have one in PA. You can look it up online under "Medmark - Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy". I received it fedex in 2 days.

My RE said that it takes a max of 10 days for the trigger shot to get out of your system.

As long as you are OK with knowing that a HPT is not 100% then I would take one. First Response Early Detection (I think that is what it is) is supposed to be the most sensitive...they are more expensive but of all the websites I have looked at they are supposed to be the "cadillac of pregnancy tests"

I ordered my Novarel (HCG injection) from Apothecary Pharmacy because it was the cheapest I could find by a lot. Freedom fertility is also a good place. They all have free overnight shipping.

I had a positive result at 9dpt.....with a first response EPT....and also a with a clearblue digital with conception indicator....

I think the majority of us test before betas! A nurse told me that the trigger shot can last up to 14 days but I think that's on the high end. Most people say it's gone by 10 days. My beta was scheduled for a Tuesday and I tested the Thursday before and got a BFP! Good luck! (Mine was an FET cycle so I did not do the trigger shot this time)

They say it should be out of your system 10-11 days after the shot. I tested 10 days after my trigger shot and got my bfp and continued testing up to the day of the beta. Good luck!!
