I saw this commercial for Mutual of Omaha last night and it made me cry! I felt like this lady was telling my story. It's an "Aha Moment" commercial and the lady talks about how her friend gave her a little pair of baby shoes after her struggle with IF and a m/c to let her know she believed she would be a mom someday. I found it so touching (but it could be all the meds I'm on right now!).

I liked it because there are TONS of commercials with Moms and babies on TV and I feel like this is just another reminder that it's not that easy for everyone and we are not alone in our struggle.

MomHopes....I saw it last night and felt the same way you do. I was like....finally. There are people out there that do struggle and it isnt like the stork just drops off a baby when you want one! Thanks for mentioning it. I hope you are doing well. Tons of baby dust for you this cycle!

I saw that commercial a few days ago! It made me smile, but I'd probably cry if I saw it today because I'm very emotional...good stuff.

I saw it the other night and had tears in my eyes. My hubby looked at me and asked what was wrong -- I couldn't explain.
It's such an acurate commerical. You don't see them these days.

I too saw this commercial and thought it was amazing. I hope it makes others realize how hard it can be for people with IF. Thanks for sharing the link too...I enjoyed seeing it again!

I too saw the commercial. I'm so glad that media can discuss the miscarriages on TV.

This was very uplifting for me and gave me hope that one day I too will have a baby.

I need to get myself a pair of those shoes! If only I'd heard of this commercial two years ago. :)

But seriously it is nice to see our struggles brought out into public to bring about awareness and hopefully, someday change...

When I was on bedrest a friend of mine brought me a pair of shoes to help me remember what I was fighting for. They helped me alot after the miscarraige. They sit on top of my TV, which like many households is the center of our house hold.

Very nice. Now I do not feel as bad about the bag of baby things I have (and the new things I recently purchased). I guess it shows that deep down I have not given up hope, no matter how bad I may feel at times. Thank you for sharing this.

Oh my goodness...I totally saw this commercial for the first time yesterday. My husband actually came into the room from the kitchen because he heard what this woman was saying on the commercial. I love that it acknowledges that there are people in the world who struggle to have a baby and shed light on the issue. I felt like it gave me a voice. :)

Wow, when I wrote this post about the commercial I never thought I'd hear from the woman who gave the shoes! I read the whole story and like the commercial it made me cry. I love stories like this because it gives us all hope.
